The largest interest in our USB/FireWire series has come primarily from industries requiring a superior quality, resolution, and accessibility. Our studies have shown that machine vision has benefited the most from applying the right digital camera.
In one application, the Firewire Enclosed Camera (RHPF-C640-H-T-CS) was fitted in an inspection line, paired with a thorough video analytics software. This had replaced an analog camera, and greatly improved the quality of not only the image from the camera, but the entire line of product that was built. The reason for replacing the analog camera, was because of interlacing issues, and frame rate. The original camera had just barely accommodated the speed of the inspection line, and inspection images weren't nearly as crisp or clear as needed.

About the RHPF-C640-H-T-CS:
This FireWire camera ensures a high and reliable data transfer rate. The resolution is set to 640x480, since this example is for a high speed machine vision application, this resolution will allow the camera to reach up to 60fps flawlessly. Also included, was an I/O Trigger Output to sync up a strobe light with the camera on the inspection line.
What's available?
Our new line includes USB and FireWire digital outputs! We are offering resolution options of 640x480, 1024x768, and 1280x960. Our cameras feature frame rates up to 60fps (dependent on resolution), and CCD options of color, monochrome, or bayer. These devices are powered through their USB and FireWire cables. Also for the first time on OEMCameras.com, we offer enclosed versions of these digital cameras, with a CS lens mount. External trigger options are also available for all models.
