HOT MWIR

In thermal cameras, “Detector Type” refers to the kind of sensor that detects heat at different infrared wavelengths.
LWIR (Long-Wave Infrared) detects heat from objects like people or buildings, making it ideal for security and home inspections. MWIR (Mid-Wave Infrared) is sensitive to hotter objects and is often used in military or scientific applications.
SWIR (Short-Wave Infrared) detects higher temperatures like fires or gas leaks. Each type is designed for a specific need depending on what you’re trying to detect.
